Export your DJ mix everywhere from one timeline

DJ.Studio is a laptop-based DJ software for DJs and producers that lets you create, arrange and export professional mixes from a visual timeline without any DJ hardware. From a single project you can export high-quality audio, 4K audio-reactive videos, DJ set playlists, Ableton Live multitrack projects, rekordbox cue playlists, Mixcloud uploads and backup files so the same mix is ready for the club, radio and YouTube in a few clicks

Share Your Mix With The World

Share your mix across various platforms and formats, effortlessly connecting with your audience. Export from basic MP3 to high-resolution 4K video or complete Ableton Live sets. DJ.Studio has all your needs covered.

Why export with DJ.Studio instead of recording in real time

Most DJ software records your mix as a single audio file in real time. If you make a mistake at minute 58, you start again. DJ.Studio flips that workflow.

  • Work faster than real time. Build your set on a timeline, then export. A one hour mix no longer takes one hour to record.

  • One mix, many outputs. The same timeline can become a 320 kbps MP3, a lossless WAV or FLAC master, a 4K music video, a rekordbox cue playlist or an Ableton Live project with automation.

  • Cleaner tempo changes. Re-Pitch Audio Mode and advanced time-stretching give you smoother BPM transitions with fewer artifacts than basic DJ recording.
  • Ready for live and online. Prepare transitions on the timeline, then export either a mastered mix or a DJ set you can perform on hardware.

If you already use rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, Engine DJ or Virtual DJ, DJ.Studio slots in as your export and preparation hub rather than replacing your performance setup.

Export options in DJ.Studio

Click Export in the top right of the Studio screen and you get six tabs: Record (Audio / Video), DJ Set (Playlist / rekordbox / Serato), Publish (Mixcloud), Mobile App, Ableton Live and Backup. Each tab is tuned to a specific use case.

High-quality audio exports (MP3, WAV and FLAC)

Use Record → Audio when you want a finished stereo mix.

  • Export MP3WAV or FLAC in one render. MP3 exports at 320 kbps, while WAV and FLAC give you lossless masters.

  • Set Master gain and toggle Auto gain so levels stay consistent across tracks.

  • Enable Re-pitch audio for cleaner, more natural sounding tempo changes on sections where the BPM shifts.

  • Turn on Use limiter to stop clipping on loud moments.

This is ideal when you want a mastered DJ mix for download, radio or podcast platforms.

4K audio-reactive videos for YouTube

Boost your YouTube channel by incorporating audio-reactive animations into your DJ mix and exporting it in various qualities, from SD to 4K.
When you want your mix on YouTube, Twitch or socials, use Export → Video.

DJ.Studio’s video creator lets you:

  • Choose animated backgrounds, album art, solid colors, images, Shadertoy-based 3D scenes or video clips per track, all synced to your timeline.

  • Add audio-reactive spectrum analyzers, particles and waveforms that move in time with your mix.

  • Export video in multiple resolutions up to 4K, with landscape or portrait orientation.

  • Generate a YouTube description file that contains your full tracklist with HH:MM:SS timestamps so YouTube can create automatic chapter markers for each song.

DJ set and playlist export for live software

For live performances, export your playlist to an M3U file and seamlessly import it into your live software.

  • Export M3U8 or M3U playlists that can be dragged into rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, Virtual DJ and Engine DJ.

  • Export TXT or CSV with track names, artists and timestamps for reporting or show notes.

  • Optionally bundle the audio files with the playlist using Include audio, or keep references to your original file paths.

Because DJ.Studio can harmonically sort and optimize your playlist before you export, the M3U playlist you take into live software already reflects harmonic mixing and transition planning, rather than a simple track list. (Source:

Export playlists with transition markers

If you play on CDJs or an AlphaTheta controller, DJ Set → rekordbox is where DJ.Studio becomes your set-prep partner. In rekordbox you get a playlist with visual hot-cue markers wherever you planned mix-in and mix-out points on the DJ.Studio timeline, so you know exactly when to trigger the next track during a live set.

Ableton Live multitrack projects with automation

For producers and radio show makers who want full control in a DAW, Ableton Live export turns your mix into an .als project.

  • Export the whole mix as an Ableton Live project folder that includes your audio files.

  • DJ.Studio transfers volume, EQ and effect automation, so the transitions and moves you created on the timeline are already drawn into Live.
  • There is also a dedicated stems to Ableton flow for exporting separated drums, bass, melody and vocals with beatgrids into Live, which removes the need for manual warping.

Mixcloud uploads with automatic tracklist timestamps

Link your Mixcloud account to effortlessly upload, and share your latest mixes with your online audience. DJ.Studio goes the extra mile by automatically generating the tracklist and timestamp information, saving you valuable time and allowing you to focus more on your mixing.

You just connect your Mixcloud account to upload your mix to Mixcloud inlcuding track and artist information plus timestamps, so your listeners see a full, clickable tracklist without you typing timings by hand.

Backup, collaboration and mobile listening

The Backup and Mobile App exports keep your projects safe and portable.

  • Backup exports a .djs project file that stores your entire mix setup. You can archive it, send it to DJ.Studio support for debugging or share it with another DJ.Studio user who can open the project on their machine.

  • Mobile App for iPhone uses Dropbox in the background so you can export a version of your mix that appears in the DJ.Studio mobile app for private listening on the move.
